Katherine Williams, DPM
Please allow me to take this opportunity to tell you a little bit about myself. I was born and raised in Raleigh, NC. While growing up in Raleigh, I spent most of my time playing competitive soccer for a local league and for my schools. It was during this time that I was introduced to podiatry due to sports related injuries. However, It was not until college that I chose podiatry as a career. I graduated from University of NC at Wilmington with a Bachelor of Science in Biology and went on and obtained my Doctor of Podiatric Medicine degree from Des Moines University. After graduation, I completed a three-year medical and surgical residency at James H. Quillen VA Medical Center in Johnson City, Tennessee. My residency training consisted of forefoot and rear-foot surgery as well as reconstructive surgery of the foot and ankle.
I believe that out of all my accomplishments the thing I take the greatest pride in is my ability to connect with patients. I enjoy meeting all different kinds of people and strive to help educate my patients so that a team approach can be made to provide the best treatment for them.
In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with my husband. I will take any excuse to get outside and enjoy hiking, camping, or playing fetch with my two dogs. I am excited to be returning home and am very happy to be a member of such a wonderful community.
